Two students receive SURFs!

Piya Kurdlap and Alexandra Snedeker, undergraduate students in Environmental Science, received Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURFs). SURFs are awarded each year by the Office for Undergraduate Research, and enable undergraduates to engage in research, scholarship or creative performance during the summer under the guidance of faculty mentors. Piya is working with Dr. Richard Kamens on “An Environmental and Economic Assessment of Solar Water Pasteurizers in Remote Areas of Thailand,” and Alexandra is working with Dr. Judith Blau on “The Impact of Youth Environmental Education Programs on Community Sustainability.”
